The future pulls at me like a master gardener pulls an established shrub that he plans for a new place in his garden.
The roots go deep; the movement, the agitation, the disturbance is painful, and he knows that.
His gentle movements unsettle the earth around, shifting what was once firm, loosening its grip on the familiar, the secure, the stability of knowingness.
Everything in its place.
Safe.
Predictable.
Nevertheless, confidence lies in his plans for the garden (yet still not revealed).
In vulnerability, the plant, exposed and dependent, waits as it's lifted - it knows not where. The gentle hands clasped around its exposed root system in tender grip still the fear of not knowing, and enable peace in the process and courage for the adventure."
